1:1 Speech and Language Therapy packages for individual children. Every course of therapy is designed by a SALT specialist to address the child’s specific speech, language and communication needs, with therapy sessions delivered by a SALT Assistant.

Assessment Packages
Consultation Clinic: If you're not sure what you need
Choose this option if:
you are unsure about your child’s speech, language and communication needs. We can arrange a consultation with one of our experts, talk through your child’s speech, language and communication needs and provide recommendations on next steps.
EHCP* Assessment: If you need an EHCP or reassessment for your child/young person
Choose this option if:
a) your child has an EHCP* but hasn’t been recently reassessed (in the last 12 months)
OR
b) if you are looking to get your child an EHCP
* An EHCP is an Education Health and Care Plan, which is a legal document about a child’s needs issued by a Local Authority. It requires a detailed assessment and more lengthy report.
This package will:
Give you a clear picture of your child/young person’s needs. We’ll help you understand where your child/young person needs support and suggest specific ways to help. We’ll provide clear strategies and recommendations to get the best outcomes for your child/young person.
We’ll spend dedicated time with you. We know you have questions, and we’ll make sure to answer them.
This will include an in-depth assessment of your child/young person where they are most comfortable. We can come to your home and/or your child/young person’s school or nursery.
We’ll give you feedback and a highly detailed report. You’ll get all the information you need for the EHCP process.
What’s included:
Face-to-Face Assessment: We dedicate time to directly assess your child/young person. This can include observations in their school/nursery.
Time for liaison with School/Professionals and yourself: We’ll spend time communicating directly with your child/young person’s school or other relevant professionals (with your permission, of course!) This helps us gather a complete picture of their experiences across different settings.
Detailed Report Writing: We will provide you with a comprehensive and highly detailed report. This report will clearly outline our findings and recommendations.
Report Amendments: We also include time for any minor amendments to the report, ensuring it accurately reflects all discussions and information.
Total package time: 10 hours
Please note: If you choose an assessment only package, there may be a wait if you then decide you would like to start an intervention package with one of our SALTs.

Initial Assessment: If you need a standard assessment or have an EHCP
Choose this option if:
a) your child has a recently issued EHCP* and SALT assessment within the last 12 months, so doesn’t need an in-depth assessment/report

An initial assessment is a crucial first step before beginning speech therapy because it allows us to gain a clear picture of your child’s specific strengths/needs to ensure our intervention targets your child/young person’s individual needs. This is needed even if they already have recommendations in their EHCP, to ensure that our therapy is effective, giving you the best possible outcomes.

Review Assessment and Report: If your child/young person is receiving/has already received one of our therapy packages
Choose this package if your child/young person is receiving/has already received, one of our therapy packages. You can also use this option if you require a review assessment. and report prior to your childs annual EHCP review.
This Package Will:
Focus on tracking your child’s progress to ensure they’re getting the ongoing support they need.
This dedicated time allows our therapist to directly observe and assess your child’s current communication skills, seeing how far they’ve come and identifying any new areas where they might need support.
Include time for school and parent liaison: We’ll set aside time to chat with you and, with your permission, communicate with your child’s school or other professionals if needed. This ensures everyone involved has a shared understanding of your child’s progress and the most effective ways to support them across all their environments.
Give you a clear written summary report: After the assessment and discussions, you’ll receive a written summary report. This document will outline your child/young person’s progress, and provide clear recommendations for next steps.

Either, you would like a written summary either following an initial assessment or at the end of a therapy package.
Our brief summary report is designed to give you all the important information in an easy-to-understand format, so you can feel confident about your child’s communication journey.
We’ll clearly explain your child/young person’s current communication strengths and areas where they might need more support. This will cover things like their understanding of words, how they use words, their speech sounds, and how they interact with others.
Recommendations and Next Steps: This is the most important part! We’ll provide practical recommendations for how you can support your child’s communication at home. We might also suggest what further therapy is recommended, and what that might look like.
Or, you would like a therapy programme to give guidance on the goals of intervention and how to support your child with this.
Total package time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Annual Review/Medium Detail Report: A report only for a child we have seen recently or regularly
This is for a report only.
Choose this option if there will be an upcoming Annual Review where you will need a report to update needs and recommend future provision, or if you need a medium detail report for any other reason.
NB This is for a report only. If you also need a review assessment, please select the “Review Assessment” package instead as this also includes a report. Your Speech and Language Therapist can advise you on whether you need a review assessment, but typically if we haven’t assessed the child in the previous 3 months we would most likely need to do some reassessment.
We’ll provide an update on your child/young person’s current communication strengths and progress based on our recent support. This will review their progress in relation to the aims of their support or intervention.
Recommendations and Next Steps: We’ll provide practical recommendations for what is needed going forwards. This is especially important if you have an EHCP as we’ll need to confirm or alter the ongoing provision depending on progress and needs.
Total package time: 2 hours 30 minutes

Bespoke Resource Provision: Activity packs, communication boards, personalised visuals and more
All our packages include helpful printable resources like activity packs or communication boards.
Sometimes, your child might need something more, like a communication book, personalised visuals or schedules. If this is the case, we’ll always discuss it with you first and provide an estimate for the additional time needed to create these bespoke materials. Time will be charged at our offsite hourly rate.

Liaison with other Professionals: Liaison with others involved in your child's care
All our packages include dedicated time for liaison with you and school professionals. Sometimes, your child might have other professionals involved in their care, or more time is needed to ensure everyone fully understands their needs. If this is the case, additional liaison time will be charged at our hourly rate, depending on the location (onsite or offsite). If we feel more time is needed we will always talk to you about this first.

We can attend a one off meeting or more regularly depending on what is needed. Time to attend meetings will be charged at our hourly rate depending on the location (onsite/offsite).

Additional Amendment to EHCP Report: Explaining the support your child/young person needs
Getting the right information in your child/young person’s speech and language report is incredibly important. This isn’t just a piece of paper; it’s a tool that explains the support your child/young person needs. We include time for one amendment in our EHCP report packages. However there may be times when more are needed. Any additional time for amendments will be charged at our offsite hourly rate.

Bespoke Training: Training focused entirely on your child's communication needs
In addition to our online on-demand training hubs, our highly trained Speech and Language Therapists can create and deliver specific training sessions focused entirely on your child’s communication needs and the strategies which can help.
Bespoke training will be charged at our onsite/offsite hourly rate. Please note that time charged will include writing of the training session(s).

Therapy - Existing Clients only
The following packages are only for existing SpeechWise clients. Packages and prices are detailed below for reference but these can only be booked via your existing SALT.
1:1 Weekly Intervention - Existing Clients only
There is a 5% discount for any subsequent blocks of therapy, booked at least 4 weeks in advance of the end of the existing block. If you do not confirm that you’d like to continue at least 2 weeks before the end of the existing block then we cannot guarantee your slot for the following term and you may have to go back on our waiting list for more intervention.

Include time to support development of a communication-friendly environment. We know how important it is for everyone around your child/young person to support their communication. So, as part of all our therapy packages, we include time to work with you and/or your child/young person’s setting to develop an environment that encourages and supports their communication skills.
Include dedicated time for liaison. We’ll make sure to communicate regularly with you. This ensures everyone has the right information when they need it.
Out team of SALTs are trained to deliver a wide range of therapy interventions. As well as direct intervention where we will work on a1:1 with your child/young person; we may also recommend coaching. In these sessions our therapists will guide and equip you and /or those working with your child/young person with the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to support your child/young person’s speech and language development in their everyday life, or how to carry out a specific intervention or therapy approach.
What’s included:
10 weekly 1 hour intervention sessions per term – these can be used flexibly to deliver direct intervention, coaching and /or support within the classroom/setting environment or practical strategies to develop the communication environment.
Up to 2 hours for liaison (total across the term) – we’ll spend time communicating directly so that you and/or your child’s school/setting so you can keep track of progress and we can share strategies and resources which will support your child/young person’s progress.
Total package time: 12 hours
