Naomi Nash

Speech and Language Therapist

About Naomi...

Naomi began working for SpeechWise as a dedicated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant in April 2024. She works in the Teens Plus department, supporting older young people with speech, language, and communication needs across both specialist provisions and mainstream settings. Her role involves delivering interventions and assisting speech therapists with resource creation, planning, and administration.

Naomi loves that her role allows her to witness the personal development of young people firsthand and provides her with the opportunity to support their emotional well-being. She is trained in intensive interaction, self-advocacy, and social stories and holds an ELKLAN certificate in language for autistic pupils. With a particular interest in social communication, she is experienced in using approaches such as comic strip conversations and social stories to help young people develop their social understanding and self-advocacy skills. She is also experienced in delivering incident debriefs, helping individuals process and reflect on challenging situations.

She holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Manchester (2023) and has been working with people with disabilities for six years. Her experience includes roles as a personal assistant for a young adult with Down Syndrome and a relief worker providing in-home support for children with disabilities.
Beyond her professional work, Naomi has a strong personal interest in languages, further enriching her approach to communication support.

Naomi holds an enhanced DBS check.
