Jennifer Berman
Speech & Language Therapist
About Jennifer...
Jennifer Berman is a Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs. During her Linguistics degree at The University of Salford, she developed a deep fascination with child language development, particularly non-typical language acquisition. This interest led her to qualify as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2019. Since then, she has dedicated her career to helping children overcome communication challenges, ensuring they can access learning and build meaningful social connections. Outside of work, she enjoys ballroom dancing.
Jennifer joined SpeechWise in 2025 and works with children who require additional support as part of their Educational Health and Care Plan. Her role involves assessing and delivering therapy to help children develop their speech, language, and communication skills. She takes great pride in empowering children to engage confidently with their learning environment and fostering their early interactions with peers. Before joining SpeechWise, she worked in private practice as a school’s therapist, where she gained valuable experience supporting a wide range of speech and language needs.
Jennifer has a particular interest in autism, social communication and speech sound disorders and loves seeing the progress children make when given the right support. Her top tip for supporting communication is “Give children plenty of time to process and respond—pausing after speaking can make a huge difference.”
Jennifer Berman is registered with the HCPC, RCSLT and holds an Enhanced DBS check.
